Noble materials and masterful craftsmanship
The Cyrus Hotel has been meticulously designed and handcrafted by master craftsmanship, using only the finest materials, such as copper, brass, bronze, wood and leather. It is a comprehensive work of art that captivates with its harmonious design, uncompromising attention to every detail and unique atmosphere.
Architecture in dialogue with the vision
The Cyrus project was born out of many years of close collaboration between Michał and Joanna Dobrowolski and the AIM Engineering team. From the very beginning, work was conducted in parallel, not in separate stages, but within a dialogue. The building's form, structure, and interiors evolved simultaneously, continuously influencing each other throughout the entire process.
Behind every detail, from the foundations to the sculptural finishes, there are people. Meet the creators whose shared vision shaped this place.
The art curator of The Cyrus hotel, who does not like to be called an artist, but everyone admires his work in our beautiful interiors. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Faculty of Glass and Ceramics, and the School of Artistic Craft, where he earned a master's degree in gilding. His works have been exhibited worldwide.
An architect responsible for the unique interior design and exceptional aesthetics of the space. She creates based on the philosophy of slow interior – founded on quality, durability, and responsibility, away from fleeting trends. Today, as Guest Experience Director, she takes care of every detail and unique experiences of visiting guests.
The chief architect of The Cyrus project, who masterfully integrated the building with historic tenement houses and medieval city walls. He specializes in planning and modernizing structures within a historical context. His projects emphasize consistency, perfect proportions, rhythm, and construction, giving them a calm, orderly form.
From concept
The Cyrus Hotel was created over the years as the result of a fascinating creative process in which every, even the smallest, detail went a long way. In search of inspiration, we traveled across Europe, analyzing unique spaces and drawing inspiration from them. We did not use ready-made solutions; we created everything from scratch. This is how a unique project was born in the heart of Wrocław.
To realization
The best ideas require equally perfect execution. At this stage, we gave voice to the materials and craftsmen. Their knowledge allowed us to turn the vision into sculptural forms. Noble wood, cool stone, and gracefully aging metal were combined with extraordinary attention to detail, bringing the interiors of The Cyrus to life.
The studio where The Cyrus was created…
A significant part of the hotel was created in the workshop of Marcin Litwa and the artists collaborating with him. It was there, in the Pokoyhof Passage, just 600 meters from the hotel, that furniture was designed, made, details refined, and materials tested. The workshop was a place of true creativity and a space where concepts were transformed into concrete forms through manual workmanship.
Made from natural materials
At The Cyrus, materials are the foundation of design decisions. Their selection was a conscious and coherent process, guided by a single, consistent vision. Local craftsmen participated in the project implementation, and raw materials were sourced from all over Europe. Polish oak was combined with Austrian stone, Bavarian leather, and Italian ceramics. Each material was chosen for its properties, color, texture, and the way it responds to the passage of time and use.
The mosaics were made from thousands of small pieces of historic Venetian glass, carefully sourced and recovered during the renovation of the Pokoyhof Passage. The entire piece was finished with brass flat bars, which Marcin personally patinated in his workshop.
The very process of creating our tables is a tribute to the purest craftsmanship traditions. Each mosaic was laid by hand, piece by piece, with incredible patience and focus. Today, nearly 240 tables are used by guests within the doors of The Cyrus hotel.
Four unique series of artworks were developed through countless studies of form, proportion and material. Every composition was handcrafted in Marcin Litwa's atelier.
oday, you will find these bespoke creations in all our rooms. Meticulously formed from glass and brass using his signature antiquing technique, they are beautifully integrated into the space as part of a complete, immersive work of art, crafted exclusively for your perfect stay.
At the heart of the space stands a bar that is a work of art in its own right. Its front is adorned with a hand-laid ceramic mosaic, where the raw, organic texture of the material is beautifully contrasted with custom-cast bronze details created by Marcin Litwa.
The spectacular bar installation provides the perfect backdrop for what matters most, meetings, relaxation, and authentic experiences.
New life for furniture
Every armchair, chair, and table reflects a blend of heritage and craftsmanship. Rather than replacing original pieces, we carefully restore them, preserving their unique character while giving them a new life. Formerly covered with fabric, today they are upholstered in natural, soft leather in deep, intense colors, where discolorations or natural features of the material highlight their authenticity.
Designs by Józef Chierowski
Some furniture, such as designs by Józef Chierowski and club armchairs from the 1950s and 1960s, has been collected by the hotel investor over the past 20 years. The collection was gradually assembled long before the hotel was built, with the intention of giving it a new context and creating interiors that combine history, craftsmanship, and contemporary design.
